Once the square was finished each property nearly tripled including Whitey's. At the very end of this picture to the right we can see where Whitey's is. Notice how several of these stores have two dollar amounts above them, but not Whitey's. The reason for this is that the CDC re-evaluated the property after these buildings were restored to their Victorian glamour. Whitey's has no dollar amounts above it because the CDC did not have to restore the building because the structure of the building was never changed and was always kept in phenomenal condition leading to Whitey's incredible value. Once the rest of the West Side was finished, Whitey's property value only went up even more giving the store's owner Jim Thwaite even more pride in his store.
